Summer Session
We're excited about the Summer Session. The interest has been strong and we're stoked to get all of you out having fun in this great activity.
We have classes designed to evolve you from one to the next, safely and quickly. We develop your fundamental awareness of Kite Control, Inflatable Kites, Board Skills, and putting it all together. All have a focus on riding safely and confidently, with quickest progresson in mind. We provide all the gear for all classes, including proper kite sizes, communication helmets, boat support and legacy files housing photos/videos of your experience and growth.
See some video of rider progression on: YouTube.

Beach Lesson
You'll learn a ton. Had some expereience and not feeling confident to setup to rig and ride at your preferred location on your own yet? This class is for you. Pre-requiesit Kitesurfing 101/202 - you'll need to know how to upwind body surf and ride upwind. You will learn both self and assisted landing/launching. I recall sitting in the Waconia lake parking lot in 2005 watching the winds and riders howl, but paralized with fear as I wasn't confident with rigging and riding on my own. Fear is smart, I'll replace it with confidence. Having this routine down is paramount to your ride.

Board Skills Clinic/Wakesurfing/Kitesurf Boarding/Foil Boarding
You're dialing in your kite skills, now how about your board skills? If you haven't ever "boarded" (snowboarded, wakeboarded, skateboarded), it can be a lot to take at the same time you are refining your kite skills. We highly recommend those of you without boardskills, get out behind the boat or jet ski with us and focus on just riding. Traditional snowboarders for example prefer riding goofy or fakey, kiting requires the ability to do both. Great to schedule in no to lightwind training. Want to learn to foil board, wakesurf, or jibe strapless on a surf board? This class focuses you on skill drills you can plan on. Book it.

Rider Certification
Now that you have taken the classes, get your IKO Card. We certify your level of proficiency. This certification card allows you access while you travel. Including local destinations like Chicago where you will provide your card in order to ride. Benefits of certification include the ability to rent while traveling and kite in otherwise restricted areas. Cost is $75 and can be scheduled during 202 lesson or by appointment.
Advanced Riding Instruction
Already riding but reached a plateau? We are here help you take it to the next level. Whether it be to start jumping, get 10 feet higher in the air, land your first spin, dial a transition, we can help. Not quite staying upwind yet, or having troubles in light wind? We'll get you over the hump. Like the 202, these are one-on-one lessons with us following you on the jet ski or boat, coaching you through our radio equipped helmets. Pricing is the same as the 202 program.
Scheduling
Our lessons are scheduled on a weekly basis after we assess the forecasts. Send us an email and get into our database. We'll let you know via email when conditions look good.
If the forecast for a scheduled clinic looks too grim for wind, we'll move it.
* Our Open Water Program will be taught primarily on inflatables. Our school supports and sells gear that works in our environment: up to 100 degree F days and -30 degree F winters. These kites have the durability to survive the learning curve, are easy and fun to fly, and have the newest safety systems. If you have other equipment that you would like to learn on, just let us know. We're familiar with most brands and types of kites out there.
Looking forward to meeting you.
